Woke up one day and I'm 60(still can't figure out how I got here!) but still racing BMX, DS, 4X and a little DH (might take that back up again more seriously next year).Outside of fellow bikers people pretty much think I'm nuts and almost all of my friends are now 15-20 years younger than myself as I don't have much in common with people my own age.Gonna race and ride as long as I can - Old guys rock!

American, or North American for that matter lets don't forget our Canadian friends, downhill is not technical? - give me a break and come out of whatever village or cave you live in and hit up some places on the east coast like Plattekill, Snowshoe, Whiteface etc. and you will get all the tech you can handle.While Diablo is a great bike park its not representative of east coast downhill. Windham is going to surprise alot of people - alot of great things are going to happen at that mountain!

These pics are of the roughed in 4x course not the DH course and do not do justice to what the final product will be.It is a work in progress that will eventually evolve into the UCI 4x course that will be utilized for the UCI 4x race this August and also for the World Cup in 2010. A large portion of the course will be completed by this weekend and will be utilized for the Gravity East dual slalom race taking place on June 27.It will be groomed and buffed out and will be ready to rock!

Shaums is expanding the MMR camps and clinics on the east coast and unfortunately he can't be at every camp.He does have great coaches like Jim Dellavalle, Jason beckley, Lars Tribus etc. who have fantastic skills and teaching abilities plus they are all super chill people like Shaums.He wouldn't have it any other way!
